The EB5 visa program is an investment-based residency program that provides international investors, along with their spouses and children up to age 21, with an opportunity to obtain a U.S. Permanent Residency. To qualify for the EB-5 visa program, a minimum investment of $1,050,000 must be made in a U.S. commercial project. This drops to $800,000, though, if the investment is undertaken in a Targeted Employment Area. In addition to making the investment, the foreign investors must help create ten full-time jobs for Americans.
